Health literacy refers, broadly, to the individual’s capacity to access, understand and use information to make appropriate health decisions. Older adults and their caregivers need reliable health information for disease prevention and management, health promotion and compliance with public health recommendations.
Join us for the 8th instalment of our Wellness series with Edmund Chong as he highlights practical steps for older adults and caregivers to develop skills, knowledge and self-efficacy for better health outcomes.
Edmund is a Senior Nurse Educator registered with the Singapore Nursing Board since 2000. He graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic with a Diploma in Nursing and obtained his Master of Science (Clinical Leadership) from Curtin University, Australia. He has worked in various settings, from acute care to community care and tertiary education institutions. At Allium Care Suites, Edmund leads clinical nursing training and improvement of our Care Team’s competency to deliver safe, high-quality and reliable care for our residents.
