Captivation is an immersive spectacle featuring 84 hand-carved model pagodas, reunited for the first time in over a century at “Pagoda Odyssey 1915: From Shanghai to San Francisco” at Singapore’s Asian Civilisations Museum.
Wonder and delight greeted our residents in a panoramic showcase of iconic pagodas from various regions and historical periods. Related works, including 104 figurines, present a striking depiction of cosmopolitan life in early 20th-century Shanghai and San Francisco, highlighting the blend of tradition and modernity in China.
